Natural colours in CederPark (Hasselt, BE)16/05/2012
The apartments and houses around and along the park have been created through the collaboration of 4 Belgian top architects (Crepain Binst Architecture, a2o-architecten, m² architecten, cleuren - merken). The emphasis is on verticality, large glass windows, spaciousness and light.
Durability and quality are extremely important, both for the materials and the finish. Distinctive facing bricks and specific finishes (glued, with thin-bed mortar, alternately joined, stacked etc.), ultra-durable wood types such as afrormosia and high-grade aluminium are standard.
To blend the project in with the park as well as possible, the architects have used predominantly brick for the facades. In red, rust-colour, brown and grey tones. They selected 3 Zero® facing bricks from the Vandersanden range for a jointless and pure stone effect; aubergine-coloured Sepia ZERO, light grey Argentis ZERO and charcoal Zwart Mangaan ZERO.
The Vandersanden colour palette is very extensive; from ivory coloured to charcoal with a blue-black hue. You can choose a colour by using the product selector and viewing a number of references. The Zero® colour range consists of 18 colours. Take a look here at the Zero® colour palette.
